Aftercare basics.

Your artist will give you their own instructions — follow those first. The general rules:

  • Keep it clean. Wash gently with mild, fragrance-free soap and pat dry.
  • Use a thin layer of whatever your artist recommends. Thin — don't smother it.
  • No soaking while it heals: pools, hot tubs, lakes, long baths.
  • Keep it out of direct sun. Once healed, sunscreen keeps it looking sharp.
  • It will peel and itch. Don't pick, don't scratch.
  • Loose, clean clothing over the area for the first days.
  • Something look off? Call the shop and ask.

General tips only, not medical advice. For piercings, ask your piercer for their specific routine.
